Dorcas L. Wilcox, LCSW, CAP is the Chief Executive Officer of Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services, Inc. Born and raised in the Liberty City area of Miami, she completed her high school education at Miami Beach Senior High. Upon graduating from Florida International University, Ms. Wilcox served two years active duty in the U.S. Army and six years active duty in the U.S. Army National Guard. During her tenure, she completed her Master of Social Work at State University of New York at Stony Brook. For the last 20 years, Ms. Wilcox has dedicated her service to at-risk teens and families in poverty, working as a licensed clinical social worker and certified addictions professional in New York, Ohio and Florida. She was employed for more than a decade by Miami-Dade County Public Schools and most recently as a clinical director in the not-for-profit arena. Her passion and subsequent mission is to serve those who are disenfranchised, encouraging them — every step of the way — to reach their life’s potential.
