Michael J. Alvarez

Michael was born and raised in Miami and was introduced to the insurance industry at the age of 16. In 1999, he obtained his degree in risk management and insurance from Florida State University. After graduation, Michael established a small independent insurance agency. In 2009, he merged his company with BenTrust Financial Group and formed a full service, one-stop-shop for all insurance and risk management needs. Most recently, Michael was Vice President and Partner at BenTrust Financial Group, which was later acquired by Brown & Brown in 2015. Michael specialized in managing the Property & Casualty Division. Today, Michael is Managing Partner at InMore Group. With over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, he has developed relationships with clients and has created opportunities for businesses and individuals to position insurance offerings. Michael has served as a board member of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents, the Independent Insurance Agents of South Florida, Ambassadors of Mercy Hospital, Latin Builders Association, and Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services. He also volunteers countless hours with the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana.
